Jio-bp, a collaboration between Reliance Industries Limited and bp, is rapidly expanding its electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across India under the brand Jio-bp Pulse. As of September 2024, the network has grown from 1,300 to 5,000 charging points within a year, with 95% comprising fast-charging stations—the highest in the industry.  Charging Infrastructure and Accessibility Jio-bp Pulse offers a comprehensive charging network compatible with various EVs, including two-wheelers, three-wheelers, four-wheelers, and electric buses. Charging stations are strategically located in public parking areas, hotels, shopping malls, residential societies, petrol pumps, and airports, ensuring accessibility for a broad user base.  User Experience and Pricing The Jio-bp Pulse Charge App facilitates seamless, cashless transactions, accepting multiple payment methods such as net banking, credit cards, debit cards, UPI, and digital wallets. Users can locate, book, pay for, and monitor their charging sessions through the app.  Pricing is competitive, with rates around ₹15.99 per kWh, plus taxes, at certain locations. For instance, a charging hub in Gurugram offers this rate, making it one of the more affordable options among private charge point operators.
